Q: One of my friends wants me to bring him some marijuana I got for him from another friend. I don't use drugs, and I don't want to do this, but my friend said we won't get caught. What will happen to me if I am caught with it?
A: What you are talking about is a drug distribution crime. If you benefit from it in any way --- such as getting money or something else of value in return for being the go-between, that carries a serious penalty if you are caught and convicted. But even if you are just doing it as an accommodation for a friend --- that is, not getting anything in return for your effort --- you still are facing a Class 1 misdeameanor. If you get caught doing this on school property, a school bus, or within 1000 yards of a school, you could be in really big trouble!!
Don't let yourself be pressured into doing this --- or anything else that you feel uncomfortable about. If your friend gets upset with you for refusing to help him this way, you are better off cutting your ties to him, because it is obvious to me that your so-called friend has no caring concern for you at all.
