Broken Wrist Nets Large Verdict

Auto insurance carriers Libery Mutual and Nationwide, reached a pre-trial settlement of $175K with a man who suffered a brioken wrist in a head-on collision. The plaintiff's wrist did not heal and a bone graft was performed. The accident occurred when the defendant lost control of his car on "black ice" and veered into the path of plaintiff's car. The palintiff's medical costs and lost wage claims totaled $70K.
