One Killed, Two Seriously Injured In Early Morning Richmond Collision

One man was killed in a two-car wreck early in the morning on April 11th in South Richmond.

About 2:15 a.m., a pickup truck headed north on Jefferson Davis Highway hit a car turning south from Atwell Lane onto Jefferson Davis, police said. The car's driver, Santo Ruben Almas-Herrera, 48, of Chesterfield County, died at the scene. A passenger in his car was taken to the hospital and was listed in critical condition, police said.

The driver of the pickup was hospitalized in stable condition.
