Reckless Driving Reduced to Speeding

Developing a good rapport with opposing counsel sometimes pays dividends. Recently, an 18 year old charged with reckless driving in King William County, Virginia, reaped the benefit of an understanding Commonwealth Attorney. Recognizing the seriousness of the charge and the effect it would have on the young man, the CA graciously agreed to a reduction of the charge to speeding. This allowed the young man to avoid having a class 1 misdemeanor on his record.
